Craige and Roz Mackenzie

Craige and Roz Mackenzie own Greenvale Pastures, an arable farm producing a range of high-quality specialist seeds and cereals using environmentally sustainable farming practices with a major focus on precision agriculture technologies.

This interest in Precision Agriculture is reflected in Craige’s involvement as Founding Deputy Chair of PAANZ, NZ representative to the International Society for Precision Agriculture, board member of SPAA Precision Agriculture Australia and owner of Agri Optics NZ Ltd, which provides precision agriculture services to NZ farms.

Craige is heavily involved in a number of dairy and cropping industry research initiatives including the Foundation for Arable Research Strategic Research Committee and the Arable Research Group. Craige received a New Zealand Nuffield farming scholarship in 2008. In 2013 Craige and Roz were the Supreme winner of the Ballance Farm Environmental Awards in Canterbury and went on to win the coveted 2013 National Ballance Farm Environmental Award “The Gordon Stephenson Trophy”.
